My Story
Now I know what you're thinking, because I've asked myself the same question, "What's so special about Scentsy?" Everybody has their own story, everybody has their own expierence, but personally once I joined I realized that Scentsy was more than just beautiful warmers and bars with heavenly aromas...it is a community of individuals who support you, believe in you, and cheer you on to be the best that you can be in your business! I've known about Scentsy for many years, while I was in high school my mother use to have a warmer. She's only ever owned one warmer, but I will never forget how that one simple warmer decorated with fruit filled the entire living room with the smell of Apple cinnamon! That is her favorite smell, which has now become mine! Now honestly, being a Scentsy consultant was not my career choice growing up. I've always wanted to work in the medical field, and I had a huge interest in the technology aspect. After high school I started my educational journey to become a radiologic technologist! After graduating with a certificate from the College of Health Care Professions I began working right away at a diagnostic center in Houston. Several years later I took my education to the next level and graduated from Pima Medical Institute with an associate degree in applied science. I then got promoted at my job as a full time radiologic technologist, and was encouraged to continue with my education so that one day I could become lead tech and supervisor in my field. Well, during my journey to become successful in my career, I also started a new adventure called motherhood! I know there are women out there who are extremely successful in their careers, president of the PTO at their children's school, team mom during their extracurricular activities, and DIY pros. I have the utmost respect for you! I, however, am not one of those women. I'm not trying to put myself down, I'm just being completely honest with you! It was so hard for me to work full time during the day, and being a mother at night. I've felt like I was missing out on everything and I hardly got to spend any time with my children. One day, with the support of my husband, I made a decision to be a stay-at-home mother. I loved my job, it was never a dull day being an x-ray tech, and i worked so hard to get to where i was, but I wanted to be there for my children more. I have to say thank you to my friend and sponsor, Amanda Aden, for encouraging me to join the Scentsy community! Seeing her love and success for this business has brought back so many good memories of my mother's love of her simple warmer, and the feeling of warmth and joy Apple cinnamon gives me! I'm excited to start this business, and I get to create new memories with my children at the same time! I can't wait to see where this journey will take me, the new friends I'm going to make, and the wonderful people I get to meet! God definitely has a plan for everything!
